In face and voice, the closest of his time to the Prophet (s).

‘Ali al-Akbar (a), a son of Imam al-Husayn (a), was a young man said to resemble the Prophet (s) more than anyone else of his time in face, speech, and manner.

He was among the first of the household to receive permission to enter the field on Ashura. He fought his way deep into the enemy before being overwhelmed. The Imam carried his body back to the camp himself — a moment among the most mourned of the day.
